Aquatic Exercise in the Pool
Aquatic Exercise in the Pool
Aquatic exercise consists of individually tailored exercises performed in water under the guidance of a physiotherapist. The properties of water reduce the load on the joints and facilitate movement while providing resistance for active muscle engagement.
It is used for: musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, joint and muscle problems, recovery following orthopedic surgery and injuries, limited joint mobility, muscle weakness, impaired motor control, as well as recovery following physical exertion.
Contraindications: acute infectious diseases and fever, open wounds and skin infections, severe cardiovascular conditions and decompensated heart failure, uncontrolled epilepsy, severe general health conditions, and any conditions for which aquatic exercise is contraindicated.
